Through first-hand experiences, I understand that life can sometimes feel overwhelming. Sometimes it is hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel, but you don’t have to go through it alone.

I believe that every individual has the strength and potential to overcome their obstacles and lead a fulfilling life. Sometimes we just need a little help along the way. My approach is rooted in empathy, understanding, and personalized care. I work collaboratively with you to explore your unique experiences and develop strategies that foster resilience and growth.

I am here to provide compassionate support and guidance to navigate these difficult times. Whether you are a teenager struggling with the pressures of school and social life, or an adult facing career changes, relationship issues, or other significant life events, I am here to help.

A Little About Me

My journey into the field of counseling began with my own personal struggles with anxiety and the impact it had on my life and relationship with others. Experiencing anxiety firsthand allowed me to understand the challenges of living with persistent worry and fear. It was through these difficult times that I discovered the importance of emotional regulation and the transformation it can on a life.

As I learned to manage my own anxiety, I became deeply passionate about helping others navigate their emotional landscapes. I wanted to offer support and guidance to those who, like me, struggled with their mental health. This drive led me to pursue a career in counseling, where I could provide a safe space for individuals to explore their feelings, develop coping strategies, and ultimately improve their quality of life.

Additionally, my work with first responders is deeply personal and motivated by the challenges I have seen within my own family. Witnessing the unique stresses and emotional burdens that first responders face inspired me to offer specialized support to these dedicated individuals. I understand the critical importance of mental health for those who are constantly on the front lines, dealing with high-stress and often traumatic situations.

My Professional Background / How I Can Help You

My journey into psychology began at Brandman University, where I studied pre-clinical psychology. This gave me a solid foundation in understanding how our minds work. However, as I progressed, I realized I wanted something more personal and hands-on. I wanted to be directly involved in helping people, not just studying theories.

Once I graduated with my bachelor’s I knew I had to keep going. I got accepted to Bellevue University, where I joined the Mental Health Clinical Counseling Master’s program. At Bellevue, I found exactly what I was looking for a focus on practical skills and direct client interaction. This program was a perfect fit, giving me the tools and experience to support individuals facing mental health challenges.

Working at True You Always is an absolute joy for me because of the incredible support and positive environment we have here. From the very beginning, I felt a genuine sense of belonging and care, which has made a world of difference in my work as a therapist.

The support I receive from my colleagues is truly remarkable. We share insights, offer advice, and collaborate to ensure we’re providing the best possible care for our clients. This sense of teamwork not only enhances our therapeutic practice but also creates a nurturing atmosphere where we all thrive.
